The Metropolitan, commissioned by the American developer Gerald Hines, has been designed by the world-famous architect, Lord Norman Foster. The object consists of three independent seven-story buildings located within a pentagonal shape, hence the nickname of the building, which is often called “the Warsaw Pentagon”. Apart from the office sections, the building provides space for shops, cafes, restaurants on the ground floor and a round courtyard. At present, the Metropolitan is the first AAA-class object in Poland and the only one such object in Central Europe. The AAA class is the highest possible rank for a building, and its designation stands for the best location, best architecture and best equipment.
