Works will last for approximately 20 months.
 
HOCHTIEF Polska has signed a contract for modernization of a baggage facility at the Chopin Airport in Warsaw. The project investor is “Polish Airports” State Enterprise. The contract has a value of more than PLN 120 million gross (approximately EUR 30 million). Construction will begin soon and will take approximately 20 months.
 
The commission includes the execution of the execution planning and the extension of the existing Early Baggage Storage (EBS) as well as the exchange of devices of the Early Detection System (EDS) to an integrated baggage sorting department at the Terminal A. This very terminal was partly built by HOCHTIEF Polska between 2012 and 2015.
 
Previously, HOCHTIEF Polska has constructed the central pier and completed the construction of the southern pier of terminal at the Chopin Airport in Warsaw (2010-2011), built passenger terminals at the airports in Poznan (2011-2013), Lodz (2009-2012) and Wroclaw (2009-2012) as well as reconstructed a baggage facility at the airport in Katowice (2013-2014). In May, 2018 the company received an order for construction of the Air Traffic Control Centre in Poznan.
