HOCHTIEF Polska Poz-Building Branch in cooperation with PORR Polska has completed the second stage in the construction of Stary Browar (Old Brewery) – Commerce Art and Business Centre in Poznań.
The extended complex, contracted by Fortis Sp. z o.o., is to be opened on 11th March, 2007.

The second stage in the construction of Stary Browar – Commerce Art and Business Centre was launched in September, 2005 and was aimed at expanding the existing complex to include a new office and shopping building, modernising an old military court and roofing the courtyard. The complex constructed in the second stage occupies 65 477 m2 and encloses 380 800 m3 of space. Studio ADS Sp. z o.o. has drawn up all the projects for both stages of the investment. HOCHTIEF Polska Poz-Building Branch in cooperation with PORR Polska was also responsible for the first stage of the Poznań investment.

Stary Browar – Commerce Art and Business Centre is situated in the heart of Poznań, at the junction of Kościuszko, Półwiejska, Ratajczaka and Ogrodowa streets. The complex consists of two buildings with an adjoining Courtyard of Art. It is a shopping and office mall as well as a centre for culture and art. Numerous stores as well as catering and entertainment facilities are situated within the complex. Shopping arcades and offices adjoin the Art Courtyard, where numerous cultural events are held.
Customers visiting Old Brewery may use a three-storey car park, situated above the shopping areas (within a building constructed in the first phase of the project) and under the shopping areas within the part constructed in the second phase.

Stary Browar – Commerce Art and Business Centre complex is situated on the site of the former Hugger Brewery. Due to its unique architecture, combining traditional brick facades with new steel and glass components, Stary Browar complex was awarded in 2005 (1st phase) by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ISSC) the title of the best medium-sized shopping centre in the world.
