On 29 May 2007, after the first stage of earthworks at the construction of the Malta Galleria in Poznan has been completed, an official cornerstone ceremony was held. That modern commercial and entertainment complex is an investment of NEINVER Polska Sp. z o.o. and its General Constructor is HOCHTIEF Polska Poz-Building Branch.

The Malta Galleria will be one of the technologically most advanced commercial and entertainment centres in the Wielkopolska Region. The mall will be built in the proximity of the city centre of Poznań, at the junction of streets: ul. Abp. Antoniego Baraniaka and ul. Katowicka, opposite the Malta Lake. The construction work at the site of the future Malta Galleria started in January 2007. The complex is scheduled to be completed in Q4 2008.

In May, the first stage of earthworks at the site was finalized, which included making a wide excavation for the Galleria. The contractor is currently finishing the work on the reinforced concrete foundation slab of the main building.

The work is now focused on the reinforced concrete structure of the underground level and the first parts of the floor at the ground floor.

HOCHTIEF Polska Poz-Building Branch has also started the work on the multilevel car park for the patrons. There are already seven tower cranes operating at the site out of the eight planned.

The modern, three storey steel-and-glass building of the Galleria will have a total area of 153,000 sqm, out of which 52,000 sq. metres is going to host around 200 shops and service facilities, a multiplex cinema, a fitness centre and numerous cafes and restaurants. The customers will be able to use a multilevel car park of an area of 44,200 sqm, designed to provide space for nearly 2000 cars and a direct access to the shopping mall. The total volume of the commercial and entertainment complex is 695,303 cubic metres and the car park is going to have a volume of 115,736 cubic metres. The surrounding premises will be turned into a green area with leisure facilities.
