HOCHTIEF Polska Kpis-Cracovia Branch is to build the Diamante Plaza, an office building in Krakow which will be the first investment of Aldesa Polska in the Central and Eastern Europe. The investor is a subsidiary of the Spanish Aldesa Group, an active player of the real estate market of office, commercial and hotel property. The project is scheduled to be completed in July 2009.
The contract volume was agreed to be kept confidential.
Diamante Plaza is a four-storey class A building with approx. 10,000 square metres of office and commercial space. It also includes two conference rooms for 16 audience each, a lunch bar and a green patio. The building has a volume of 75,210 cubic metres and a total area of 19,785 square metres, as much as 6,754 square metres of that floorage to be allocated for underground levels. The Diamante Plaza was designed by DDJM, a team of architects led by Marek Dunikowski. Its modern and stylish shape resembles an irregularly cut diamond. All of its sides will be made of glass, which will maximise daylight access to its interior.
The building is located at 24 Dekerta St. at the Krakow district of Zablocie. It will be one of the first office estate projects in that part of the city, initiating a transformation of the eastern Zablocie, an industrial and warehouse zone at present, into a neighbourhood of offices and service centres.
The design and structure of the building’s interior will allow it to be easily adapted to the needs and requirements of its future users. Raised technical floors of the site as well as its suspended ceilings, both aimed to facilitate the installation and maintenance of the cabling systems and to allow unrestricted division of the available space, will ensure its high standard. The building is to be soundproof and thermally insulated, as well as equipped with efficient heating and air conditioning systems. Its cutting edge ICT network is to ensure maximum connectivity and high quality of communications solutions. The site will be guarded by a centrally monitored security system, 24/7 security staff and advanced fire safety systems.
