Largest Cinema in Wielkopolska - Additional assignment for HOCHTIEF Polska within the Galeria Malta.
HOCHTIEF Polska Poz-Building Branch has been assigned with the construc-tion of the Silver Screen Cinema in the Galeria Malta under construction in Poznań. The contract refers to performance of complete construction work apart from installations and technological equipment of the cinema. The contract volume was agreed to be kept confidential.
The Silver Screen, with an area of 8,300 sqm, will be the largest cinema in Wielkopolska region. Ten screens of the cinema - in seven large and three smaller VIP halls - will offer seats for 2,000 people in the audience.
The multiplex will be one of many places of entertainment available for visitors at the Galeria Malta. The area of 153,000 sqm in the three-storey building will in-clude approx. 200 stores and points of sale. The mall, which is also being built by HOCHTIEF Polska, will be put into operation in the spring of 2009.
The architectural design of the shopping and entertainment mall refers to the surrounding natural environment. An interesting architectural solution is pre-sented by the footbridge over the Abpa. Baraniaka Street, which will connect the mall with the Bulwar Nadmaltański, providing more efficiency for the traffic in the adjacent streets. It will also include a special lane for cyclists and inline skat-ers.
