HOCHTIEF Polska broadens range of experience by including another airport expansion project and a production and storage facility

HOCHTIEF Polska is a member of a consortium which is to build Passenger Terminal 3 of the Władysław Reymont International Airport in Łódź as part of a contract of a net value of almost PLN 87 Mio. (EUR 21 Mio.). The project, whose scope comprises all construction works and supply of the necessary materials and equipment, is planned to be completed in May 2011 and is executed by the Warsaw Branch of HOCHTIEF Polska.

The new terminal building will include three above-ground storeys and an underground level. With more than 8,300 square metres of the designed base area, the terminal is going to have a total net area of more than 21,500 square metres. In addition to the premises allocated for passenger handling, it will also consist of a luggage sorting facility, a car park and an almost 23 metre tall flight control tower. Terminal 3 is expected to be serving more than 1.5 million passengers every year.

HOCHTIEF is also currently involved in development of a new terminal at the Wrocław-Strachowice Airport, a project commissioned to a consortium of HOCHTIEF Polska and HOCHTIEF Construction.

In November 2009 the Poznań Branch of HOCHTIEF Polska started construction of a single-storey manufacturing and storage facility and office space for Enginova Sp. z o.o in Kutno. The terms of the project require that the value of the contract remain undisclosed. The complex is scheduled to be ready in June 2010. In addition to the facility of a total area of 11,500 square metres, HOCHTIEF Polska has also been contracted under the same project to build another 11,600 square metres of roads and yards.
