HOCHTIEF Polska expanded its project portfolio by a residential building and an exhibition hall.

HOCHTIEF Polska was contracted to build WaterLane, a residential building in the Centre of Gdańsk, and commissioned an upgrade of the exhibition hall in Poznań. The six-storey WaterLane at 11 Szafarnia St. is an investment by AV Szafarnia, member of the Vitania Group. Its more than 18,000 square metres will include 109 apartments with a view to the Old Town and yachts. The flats include 150 square metre penthouses of approx. 3 metre height and external terraces with areas exceeding 50 square metres each. The building will feature a spacious lobby which will lead to a patio, an underground garage, a services area and a cosy Wellness & SPA area. The project is scheduled to be completed in Q2 of 2011.
The urban solutions, materials and design details of the WaterLane project point to the modern architectural trends that are typical for port cities on rivers. White and transparent glass of its facade will compose harmoniously with the nearby marina project and the brick surfaces will easily invoke associations with the historical Główne Miasto, the old centre of Gdańsk.

The subject of the exhibition hall expansion project is Pavilion 6A of the International Fair in Poznań (Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie). The expansion is going to increase the floorage of the building by another 6,500 square metres. Modernisation work will end in the second half of 2010.
