Following completion of the initial stage of ground works, the symbolic cornerstone ceremony was held at the site of the future waste recycling plant in Warsaw. The project is an investment by BYŚ Wojciech Byśkiniewicz and the Warsaw Branch of HOCHTIEF Polska is its general contractor.

The plant will be located in Wólczyńska Str. and will be housed in a single-storey building. In addition to the sorting hall and its auxiliary facilities, the 5,000-square-metre project also includes construction of roads, vehicle manoeuvre areas and car parks. The work on site began in February 2010 and is scheduled to be completed in September this year.
The plant will have an annual sorting capacity of about 150,000 tonnes, which accounts for over 10% of the total waste volume produced in Warsaw. All waste delivered to the facility will go through a recycling process.
