October 6 - symbolic inauguration of the works carried out by HOCHTIEF Polska
Following the completion of the first stage of works, which included laying the foundations, building the ground floor, and starting work on constructing the ceiling slab, the symbolic laying of the foundation stone for the building was held at the construction site of Futura Park in Modlniczka near Kraków. The project investor is Neinver, and the Kraków Branch of HOCHTIEF Polska is the general contractor.
Futura Park will be a two-storey building with 1,400 parking places and the required technical infrastructure. The project covers a total area of more than 49,000 square metres. The new building will house the FACTORY outlet center and FUTURA park, which will be home to middle-size shops and service points typical for retail parks. The FACTORY outlet center will be located on the ground floor and will occupy an area of 20,000 square metres. The retail area available on the first storey will be 22,000 square metres. Since start of construction work in June, pile works, foundations, and the retaining wall (220 m) have been completed, while prefabricated columns have been mounted. Currently, the pillars and the ceiling between the storeys are being installed. The opening for FUTURA Park is scheduled for the third quarter of 2011.
