The scope of the works specified by the contract of the consortium with HOCHTIEF Polska and HOCHTIEF Energy Europe includes designing and erecting the buildings of the facility, its internal road and auxiliary infrastructure as well as the accompanying utility systems. ITPOK is going to be located on the land belonging to the City of Poznań, in a direct neighbourhood of the Karolin CHP plant on an area of approx. 3 hectares. The venture is a public-private partnership between the City of Poznań and the private company SITA Zielona Energia. The company SITA Zielona Energia will plan, finance, realise, and next operate over 25 years the municipal incineration plant (ITPOK) with capacity of 210 000 ton yearly. It is the biggest investment of this kind in Poland.
