New facility will be completed in August 2016
HOCHTIEF Polska signed a contract for the redevelopment of the north wing of pavilion No.15 at Poznań International Fair (Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie). The contract value was agreed to be kept confidential. Construction works will start in January and are scheduled to be completed in August 2016.
The scope of works includes general redevelopment of the building with an area of approximately 4,800 square meters. Roof and ceiling on three levels in the staircase area and elevator shaft will be demolished. Elements to be executed comprise, among others, a reinforced concrete staircase, an elevator shaft, a hip skylight, a glazed elevator, suspended ceilings, floors as well as wall inlaying. Apart from this, a ventilation system, air conditioning, a plumbing system, electrical and low voltage installations as well as fire alarm and voice alarm systems will be installed. The scope of works also includes general finishing works. As a result, the north wing of pavilion No.15 can be operated as part of the congress center or separately from it. It will function as a restaurant.
This is HOCHTIEF Polska’s third construction project for pavilion No. 15. In 2012, HOCHTIEF Polska modernized level 2 in the pavilion, developing a multi-purpose amphitheatre conference room for around 2,000 people (Sala Ziemi- literally, the Earth Hall).
