HOCHTIEF Polska commissioned the float glass factory in Ujazd, which includes the world’s largest glass production furnace and the longest production line in Poland.
HOCHTIEF completed the new glass factory in the Ujazd gmina near Łódź. The project consisted of the primary production building (the furnace building, the float bath, the cooling line), the warehouse hall, technological facilities, a high-standard office building as well as the plant’s road and underground infrastructure. The factory has an area of ca. 85,614 square metres. It took approx. 15 months to complete.
Euroglas’ float glass factory is one of the key projects run in the Łódź Economic Zone. The factory has the world’s largest glass production furnace with a throughput of 1,000 tonnes of glass per day and the longest production line of all similar Polish plants.
The new plant will turn out float glass and refine glass fur further processing.
To minimise its environmental footprint, the plant leverages the most advanced equipment and procedures.
