HOCHTIEF Polska Poz-Building Branch was designated the General Contractor for a new logistics centre in Swarzedz near Poznan. The complex, which includes two state-of-the-art warehouse buildings, is an investment of affiliate companies of the CLIP Group.

The new logistics centre will be built in Swarzedz, a town located 10 kilometres from the centre of Poznan. The construction work is bound to start still in April and is planned to be completed in December 2007.

The end-to-end construction of the logistical centre in Swarzedz will include erecting two modern warehouse halls with offices and administration rooms, car parks, pavements and green areas as well as the road infrastructure on the area of the site.

The facility is to be constructed of reinforced concrete prefabricated components and covered with a steel roof structure. Warehouse Building A will have a total area of 47,003 sqm, a volume of 597,400 cubic metres and will offer 45,130 sqm of storage floor and 1,873 sqm of office space. Building B is designed to have a total area of 30,158 sqm and a volume of 236,700 cubic metres and will offer 28,638 sqm of storage space and 1,520 sqm for office use. External works around each building include the construction of access roads, parking areas and green areas. The entire facility will be used for storage of finished goods.
