HOCHTIEF Polska as the general contractor of the new chapter for Ursus district

On the site of the former “Ursus” Mechanical Works – a symbol of the industrial power of the capital of the 20th century – a new living space is being born, which does not forget about its roots. The remaining fragments of factory buildings – including walls and halls – have not only been preserved, but also gain new functions.  The walls will provide a frame for contemporary architecture

Budowa obejmuje dwa nowe budynki mieszkalne o łącznej liczbie 135 mieszkań i wysokości do siedmiu kondygnacji. Zróżnicowany metraż – od 35 do 80 m² – i przemyślane układy mieszkań, balkony, loggie oraz ogródki na parterze, mają zapewnić mieszkańcom maksymalny komfort. Całość uzupełnia dwupoziomowy garaż podziemny z 140 miejscami postojowymi, w tym stanowiskami dla osób z niepełnosprawnością.

HOCHTIEF Polska started the project with a full understanding of its uniqueness. It was not a “clean” construction – it was an interference in a place saturated with meaning. The company had to reconcile modern technologies with conservation requirements and social expectations. Effect? A housing estate that not only provides high-quality housing, but also tells a story – brick by brick.

The restored industrial elements were integrated into the new development so that they form a coherent whole. Elements of the batch warehouse will envelop one of the new buildings, creating a striking “frame from the past”. This creates a space where residents will not only live – but also feel that they are part of something bigger.

The investor of the investment is Aurec Home – a developer known for its ambitious and conscious urban projects.
