On 22.02.2024, the General Meeting of the Agreement for Safety in Construction (PBB) was held, during which the presidency was officially handed over between PORR and HOCHTIEF Polska.

The symbolic gesture of passing the baton was made by Piotr Kledzik, President of PORR and Tadeusz Blecha, President of HOCHTIEF Polska.

We have refined and discussed our plans for the next term of office, and now it remains for us to put them into practice. What we will focus on first and foremost is:

  • Development of new directions for PBB activities along with the definition of success criteria for the years 2024 – 2030.
  • Continuation of the task related to the development and dissemination of high-quality standards of safe work developed by PBB, including taking into account foreign-language customers working on Polish construction sites.
  • Continuation of cooperation with partners and institutions in the area of qualifications and professional skills of employees performing particularly dangerous work and persons organizing and supervising work
  • Inviting investors and designers to cooperate as active participants in the construction process and have an impact on the safety of work on the construction site.
  • Development of areas in which common solutions bring additional benefits to PBB members, e.g. such as jointly developed periodic training for administrative and office staff and made available online.
  • Ensuring compliance of activities with the mission of the Statute of the Agreement.

The next two years will be a new and interesting challenge for us, and we intend to meet it full of commitment. Together for common safety!
