Kpis-Cracovia Division of HOCHTIEF Polska signed a contract with Globis Wrocław Sp. z o. o. for the construction of the GLOBIS office building in Wrocław. Gleeds Polska Sp. z o. o. was chosen as the fee developer for the project.
The building was designed by Studio EL Sp. z o. o. base in Wrocław and will be erected at the corner of Powstańców Śląskich and Swobodna streets. Its total area will be 24,705 sq. m and the volume will be 102,040 cubic metres. The 12-storey structure will not only accommodate office space but also a commercial and restaurant part. Three underground storeys will be used for car parks. The construction work is to be started on December 4, 2006 and due to be completed in April 2008.
With its modern shapes and proportions, the architecture of the building smoothly supplements the downtown style. The peculiar feature of its design will be a large bay front, starting at the level of the first floor and reaching up beyond the level of attic of the main building body. The form of the building is shaped by slanted planes of structural glass.
