On 2 July 2009 HOCHTIEF Polska Warsaw Branch topped out the CityZen residential complex in the Warsaw district of Mokotów.

The CityZen complex, which is an investment by a Spanish developer Espais, is a modern residential project located at the junction of Pory and Sikorskiego streets in the Mokotów district of Warsaw. The construction work at the site started in July 2008. The symbolic topping out ceremony marked the completion of the shell, which was the first stage of the project.

The settlement includes eight eight-storey buildings and one eleven-storey building of a total residential area of 25,000 square metres. The complex will offer a total of 357 apartments and suites of between 30 and 200 square metres each. Construction stage 1A, which is currently in progress, comprises 8,000 square metres of 117 flats and suites. Almost each of them will have a balcony, a terrace or loggia. Additional facilities available to the future residents include a two-level underground car park and a commercial ground floor of the buildings along Sikorskiego avenue.

The architecture of the CityZen complex is a combination of glass, steel and natural stone, materials designed to be used both in building facades and their interiors. Part of the green areas of the location will be a Zen style garden of an area of 5,000 square metres, which is going to be available to residents only.

Completion of stage IA of the CityZen complex is scheduled for January 2010.

"We are now installing windows, assembling the facades and doing finishing and systems installation work inside the buildings," said Rafał Zarzycki, Contract Manager at HOCHTIEF Polska Warsaw Branch.
