New shopping centre development order in the Pomerania Region.

HOCHTIEF Polska Branch in Warsaw started a shopping centre construction project in the south-western part of Gdańsk. The Marine Commercial Park (Polish name: Morski Park Handlowy) will be located in Przywidzka Str., in direct neighbourhood of the existing Fashion House Outlet Centre and the ring road surrounding Ticity, the metropolitan area comprising Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot. Contract value was agreed to be kept confidential.

The Marine Commercial Park, whose total area will be approx. 50,000 square metres, is another investment on the Polish coast by the Flemish investor Liebrecht & wooD. The actual construction work at the site is scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2011.

The scope of the project covers general contractorship of Buildings B and C of the complex, including their technical infrastructure, access roads and car parks. The single-storey part of Building B will include commercial space of Carrefour and OBI chains. The two-storey part is to be let to a number of boutiques and used for offices and building maintenance facilities. The single-storey Building C is planned to be used by independent tenants. Each shop will have a direct outdoor entrance for customers.

The Marine Commercial Park is being built in direct vicinity of the existing Fashion House Outlet Centre, which was expanded by HOCHTIEF Polska last year by adding a ground level hall of an area of approx. 10,000 square metres.
