October 7 – mile stone at the project carried out by HOCHTIEF Polska Branch in Poznań

The symbolic cornerstone laying was held at the construction site of the passenger terminal at Poznań Ławica Airport after completion of the main part of the reinforced concrete building construction which enabled to start elevation and roof works.
The construction work began in the spring 2011. The investment is being carried out under a turnkey system consisting of three stages. The first stage of the works covers the building of a new part for the terminal with a floor area of more than 17 800 square meters. The check-in hall, arrivals hall, baggage handling area, and office block will be housed in this building. The scope of work includes the construction of an internal road and the redevelopment of a car park. Finishing works for the office surface in the newly-built part of the airport terminal will be completed in the second stage, while the third stage will include alteration of the old part of the passenger terminal and the construction of a new central area for security control.

Building work is due for completion for the second quarter 2013. The final stage of the works will result in the transformation of the current building into a departure hall with a commercial area.
