The Energy from Waste plant is:

  • the very first in Poland project that was realized as a PPP-formula in the waste management sector<
  • the second by efficiency (210 000 tons/year) among waste-to-energy plants
  • the biggest investment in municipial sector in the region of Wielkopolska

The works executed by HOCHTIEF Polska and HOCHTIEF Solutions included design and construction of industrial buildings, internal and associated road infrastructures together with systems.

Awards:
- In 2017 the project won the “Construction of the Year” title (the 2nd degree award) in the industrial objects category, in contest organized by the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians (PZiTB)
- The 1st place awarded in the competition „Industrial Investment of the Year 2014”, in the category „Eco- Investment of the Year 2014”, organised by „Tereny Inwestycyjne Info”
- European Project of the Year 2013 (title awarded by Project Finance Magazine for innovative financial structure that links private capital with UE financial support)
- Golden Award (given by the European PPP Expertise Centre – EPEC – for financial structure)
